About
I’m Viktor Turbá, a Brooklyn-based photographer specializing in portrait, editorial, and environmental storytelling.
For over 20 years, I’ve worked behind the lens — on assignment, in the street, in the studio.
I thought I was done with photography for a while. But the stories kept finding me. Faces still stopped me in my tracks. And the need to frame what words can’t say pulled me right back.
My work is shaped by time, place, and presence. I focus on honest portraiture — cinematic, moody, emotional. Sometimes it’s about the light. Sometimes it’s about the shadow. But it’s always about people.
Whether I’m shooting in a rain-soaked car, a dim corner of a workshop, or the middle of a city street, my goal is to tell the true story of the moment, or at least a version that feels like it.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients including American Airlines, Apple, Polo, Beeposh, FAO Schwarz, Georgia-Pacific, Equitable, Kohl’s, Dcember, Datavio, Northwestern Hospital, and Balance Chicago. My editorial work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Stop Smiling, and The Bomond.
